We talk with two prolific screenwriters and filmmakers who collaborated via Zoom through the pandemic years after being connected through their university's student HUB, The New York Film Academy.

They met for the very first time in person at this year's Cordillera International Film Festival and joined us to discuss their feature screenplay "Scent of Marigold", a powerful drama that delves into family separation at the border. The screenplay was selected as a finalist by CIFF, one of the "Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals on Earth" as named by Movie Maker Magazine.

Lily and Laila discuss how this initial collaboration has now led to further projects together as well as the interest hat has been shown in their existing work by other filmmakers and talent from around the world who are attending this year's festival.
